He was predeceased by: his parents, James Carroll and Nathalie Carroll (Robichaud); his grandson Jaxon; his siblings, James Carroll Jr, Beatrice Carroll, Michaelina Jimmo and Margaret Martin (Jimmo); and his brother-in-law Melvin O'Neill.

He is survived by: his wife Catherine Carroll (Manuel); his children, Stacy and Ryan (Ashley); his grandchildren, Evan and Erin; his siblings, Karen Martin (Arthur) of Hardwicke, Rosemay Manuel (Hilaire), Louise O'Neill of Orleans, Ontario, Elmer Carroll (Donna), Edward Carroll (Maria) of Napan, Thomas Carroll (Rejeanne) of Edmonton, Bernard Carroll and Michael Jimmo of Ottawa, Ontario; and his siblings-in-law, Jean Carroll of Ottawa, Ontario and Ade Martin of Miramichi. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
