He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James McDermaid and Hilda McDermaid; his sons, Richard (Leah) of Doaktown and James (Robin) of Fort Erie, ON; his brothers, Robert of Timmons, ON, Rexford and Charlie of Ontario; his grandchildren, Amy, Melissa, Christopher, Nadine and Jesse; his great grandchild Theo; his wife Evelyn McDermaid; and his siblings, Billy and Sharon. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
