He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Furlong and Florence Furlong (Keenan); and his siblings, Francis, Willis, Junior and Carmel.

He is survived by: his wife Colleen Marie Furlong (Robichaud) of Campbell Street; his daughter April Furlong (Jeremy Peterson) of Doaktown; his stepdaughters, Kelly Guignard of Dieppe and Karyn Estey (Robbie Hamilton) of Miramichi; his son Allan Furlong (Jennifer) of Blackville; his siblings, Elizabeth Storey (late Rudy) of Howard, Mary Preston (late Jimmy) of Miramichi, Florence Preston (Kenny Morrison) of Miramichi, Elsie Jardine (Ray) of Saint John, Judy Kennedy (Terry) of Grand Lake, Helen Furlong (late Pat DeWolfe) of Howard, Kathy Colford (Ricky) of Howard, Paul Furlong (Connie) of Upper Blackville and Leonard Furlong of Howard; his grandchildren, Chloe, Lynnsie, Brayden, Riley and Tristan; and his pet Tiny.
