She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Dean and Katherine Dean (McDonald); her husband Lawrence Duplessis; her son Bryon Murdock; and her grandson John Murdock.

She is survived by: her children, Cathy Tillotson (Dave) of Melissa, Texas, Carl Murdock (Betty) of Miramichi and Ryan Murdock (Nikki) of Miramichi; her grandson Michael Murdock (Jodi) of Miramichi; and her siblings, John Dean of Windsor, ON, Lymon Dean of Moncton and Lillian Duplessis of Miramichi.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
