He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonse Waye and Louise Waye (Matchett); his siblings, Cathy (Kerry Parks) and Frank; his sister-in-law Peggy; and his father-in-law Sterling Bell.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Waye (Bell); his son Judson (Megan Gallagher); his granddaughter Gracie; his stepgrandson Logan; his siblings, Helena Waye (Bill Riley), Jennifer Sullivan (George), Melvin, Wendell (Sandra) and Larry; and his mother-in-law Jeannie Bell. He is also survived by many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
As expressions of sympathy, in Michael's memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, or a charity of one's choice.
