She was predeceased by: her parents, John Whitney and Theresa Whitney (McLean); and her brothers, John and Burnley Whitney. She is survived by: her husband David Russell of Miramichi, NB; her children, Juanita Dykeman (Tim) of Kingston, ON, Michael Russell (Tracy) of Chatham, NB and David Russell (Kim) of Woodstock, NB; her siblings, Joyce Gilks of Dalhousie, NB, James Whitney (Audrey) of Williamstown, NB and Charles Whitney of Miramichi, NB; her grandchildren, Tyler Dykeman (Christina), Lacey Russell and Courtney Russell; and her great grandchildren, William and Adeline Dykeman. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In Mary's memory, donations may be made to the New Brunswick Extra Mural Program or to the Palliative Care Unit of the Miramichi Regional Hospital.
