She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Sr. Matchett and Clara Matchett; her husband Rodney "Red" Sargent; and her siblings, Arnold, Howard, Ernie, Florence and Marie.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Ann Matchett (Jeanne Irvine) of Miramichi, Donnie Prosser (Alanna) and David Prosser (Sheila) of Moncton; and her siblings, Joan LeBlanc (Blair) of Saint John, Joanne Bechard (Raymond) of Miramichi, Terry Arseneault (Joe) of Miramichi, Bert Matchett (Doreen) of Miramichi, Herbie Matchett (Sheila) of Ontario and Elton Matchett (Dianne) of Miramichi. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
