He was predeceased by: his father Roger Mitchell; and his siblings, Valerie Mitchell, Loretta Dedam and Larry Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Irene Mitchell (Bartibogue); his mother Elizabeth Mitchell; his children, Todd Lambert, Beverly Denny (Wendell Ward), Yolanda Dedam, Alicia Mitchell, Lacey Mitchell, Farrah Mitchell, Falon Mitchell and Kristine Mitchell (Andrew Martin); and his siblings, Howard Mitchell, Vernon Mitchell (Bernadette Sylliboy), Ralph Mitchell (Shannon Simon), David Mitchell (Lynn Dedam), Mark Mitchell (Marcia Francis), Rhonda Mitchell (Ronald Savoie) and Tricia Mitchell St. Coeur. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren.
