It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laura Melvina McKay (Miramichi, New Brunswick), born in Gray Rapids, New Brunswick, who passed away on November 11, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband David McKay of Route; her parents, William Curtis and Bertha Curtis (Johnson); and her siblings, Gladys Stewart, Jessie Jardine, Gordon and Joseph Curtis.
She is survived by: her children, Hazel MacTavish of Strathadam, Margaret Jardine (Guy) of Williamstown, Jessie Gillespie (Kevin) of Strathadam, David (Corinne) of Bellefond, Gordon McKay (Dee Gillespie) of Strathadam and Willis McKay of Strathadam; and her sisters, Dora Jardine of Barnettville and Ethel Tucker of Gray Rapids. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
In memory of Laura, donations to St. Philip's United Cemetery, Alzheimer's Society or a memorial of one's choice would be appreciated.
