Katherine Marie "Cookie" Grattan, of Miramichi, passed away at her late residence on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at the age of 62.
Born in Montreal, she was the daughter of the late Vivian (Salmon) Grattan.
She loved her friends and family, but she loved her sweets even more! From early on her home was often a congregation spot for her and her daughters' friends. Many baked goods & found memories have been shared in "Cookie's" Kitchen. She was well known in the community. People were naturally drawn to her; people would often gather and chat in the park. She was warm, very strong willed quick witted and honest. A woman who even though could be quite determined when she set her mind to something, yet also had a hard time saying no. A woman with intense pride & deep love for her family, especially her grandson. Her daughter Carrie and Grandson Mason were her reason for life, her loyally to them was steadfast.
She is survived by her daughter, Carrie Grattan of Fredericton; her Grandson Mason Grattan of Fredericton and her brother, Norman Grattan of Miramichi.
She was predeceased by her mother, brother, Keith Grattan his brother Joey Grattan and wife Louise Byrne.
Katherine Marie "Cookie" Grattan is resting at Davidson's Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, with visitation on Thursday, November 24, 2022 from 10 am until the time of the Funeral Service at 11 am at Davidson's Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Thomas Nisbett officiating.
