Joseph Sweeney Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joseph Sweeney of Miramichi, New Brunswick, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 20, 2025 at the age of 81. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joseph Sweeney to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Sweeney and Frances Sweeney (Robins); his wife Delcia Thibodeau; and his brother Kenneth. He is survived by: his children, Michele Sweeney-Allain of Miramichi, Tammy Malley (Robert) of Napan and Michael Sweeney (Barbara) of Dalhousie; his grandchildren, Karie (Jade), Kylie (Chris), Kaitlin (Andre), Jenna and Sophia; and his great grandchildren, Leah, Jace, Bentley, Ava, Nate, Rayna and Jazlyn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Adams Funeral Home Ltd. (140 King St, Miramichi, NB E1N2N9). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Michael's Basilica (10 Howard St, Miramichi, NB E1N3A7).
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Miramichi SPCA or The Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
