He was predeceased by: his parents, Dos Legere and Phoebe Legere (Bourgeois); his wife Marilyn Legere of Miramichi; his son Barrie; and his brothers, Lloyd (Mary), Earl (Marg), Douglas and Bill (Pauline).

He is survived by: his daughter Deborah Gray (Danny) of Miramichi; his grandchildren, Laura Keough (Daniel) and Mark Kenny (Clarissa); his great grandchildren, Ella, Austin Keough, Maddix and Cai Kenny; his sister Judy Bavis (Kirk) of Moncton, Chosen; his daughter Karen; his close friends, Yvonne and Kim; his brother Don Legere (late Maria) of Mass, USA; and his sister-in-law Anita Geldart (late George) of Ontario.
