He is survived by: his children, Deborah (Stephen Muney) of Toronto, John Russell of Miramichi and Michael Russell (Susan) of Calgary; his sisters, Brenda of Miramichi, Nancy (David Smith) of Miramichi and Carol (Bill Williams) of Miramichi; and his grandson Charles Martin. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
