She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Cole and Alma Cole; her husband Austin Hicks; her close friend Richard Hall (Dick); her siblings, Madelyn Smith (Jackie) and Norman Cole (Bub); her grandson Geoffrey Beal; and her brothers-in-law, Stephen Beal and Roland Beal.
She is survived by: her children, Todd Beal (Tracy) and Tracy Beal (Janez); her stepchildren, Wanda Harbert (Brian) and Michael Hicks; her brother Sidney Cole (Ruth); her sister-in-law Drenna Cole (Norman); her grandsons, Nicholas Beal, Andrew Beal and Tanner Beal (Emily); and her stepgrandchildren, Daniel, Jerrica, Alyssa and Peter. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Midgic Baptist Church, Canadian Cancer Society, Sackville Memorial Hospital or the charity of one's choice.
