He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred MacLean and Emma MacLean (MacKay); his wife Leona MacLean (MacNaughton); his brothers, Allan and Guy (Edna); his brothers-in-law, Alvin MacNaughton and James Lahey; and his sons-in-law, Paul Dufour and Hugh Godfrey.
He is survived by: his children, Garth MacLean (Joy) of Moncton, Carla Smith (Colen) of Riverview and Ann Dufour; his grandchildren, Karen Gilmore (Jason), Ryan Smith (Melissa), Heather Johnson (Scott), Tim LeBlanc (Kristy), Kyle Dufour (Stacy) and Kevin Dufour; his great grandchildren, Austin, Maddox, Kaylyn and Silas; his sister Mabel Lahey; and his siblings-in-law, Elizabeth Godfrey (William), Harriet MacNaughton and Fred MacNaughton (Joan). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. Stephen's United Church, Black River Bridge, NB, or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
