George Cortes Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of George Cortes of Miramichi, New Brunswick, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 28, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid George farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For George is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cortes and Barbara Cortes (Duffy); and his brothers, Stephen Cortes and Douglas Cortes. He is survived by: his siblings, Sheila Shepherd (Rob) of Saint John, Tracey Cortes (Perry) of Ontario, Kenny Cortes (Tammy) of Williamstown, Shawn Cortes of Williamstown and Jason Cortes (Melanie) of Maple Glen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Viewing was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Northumberland Funeral Home (102 Pleasant St, Miramichi, NB E1V1X7). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
