It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Dwight Gillespie (Miramichi, New Brunswick), born in Blissfield, New Brunswick, who passed away on November 4, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxwell Gillespie and Guila Gillespie (Johnson); his grandson Darren Brophy; and his siblings, Darrel, Paul, Lois, June, Donna and Kimberley.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Gillespie (Asoyuf) of South Esk; his daughters, Cheryl Gillespie (Kevin Storey) of Howard Rd and Cynthia Doak (David) of Miramichi; his siblings, Sharon Jagoe (Edward) of Fredericton, Shelley Sullivan (Herbert) of Lincoln, Wendy Betts (Jeff) of Woodstock, Dewey Gillespie (Lois) of Miramichi and Patrick Gillespie (Paulette); his grandchildren, Cassandra Brophy, Devan Brophy (Madalyn), Matthew Doak and Jessica Doak; and his great grandchildren, Chloe, Carmindy, Cassius, Cainan, Kaysen and Kailen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Northumberland Funeral Home (102 Pleasant St, Miramichi, NB E1V1X7). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or to a memorial of one's choice.
