He is survived by: his wife Penny Smith (Johnston); his children, Derek Smith of Iqaluit, Lisa MacDonald (Lloyd) of Iqaluit and Nicole Smith (Cainan Murdock) of Fort St; his grandson Alex MacDonald of Iqaluit; his sister-in-law Donna Smith; his nephew Scott Smith (Paulette); and his nieces, Shawna Goguen, Madison and Darcie.
