It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen M. Williston of Miramichi, New Brunswick, who passed away on March 23, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph McLenaghan and Isabel McLenaghan (Williston); her husband Emerson Williston; her sons-in-law, Gary and Edward; and her siblings, Ada, Mildred, Freeman, Norman, Bernard, Phineas, Reuben, Burton, Alvin and William.
She is survived by: her children, Joan Carter (late Edward) of Miramichi, Eileen Carter (Warren) of Miramichi, Donna Henry (late Gary) of Miramichi, Doris Drost (Leslie) of Upham, Benny Williston (Joan) of Miramichi and Blair Williston (Angie) of Miramichi. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; thirty-five great-grandchildren; and thirteen great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
