He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth McFarlane (Vickers) and Gerald McFarlane of Chatham Head; his parents-in-law, Colin and Mable Shea; his siblings-in-law, Carmel Savage and Andy Walsh; and his nieces, Stacey McFarlane, Melanie Crocker and Deana Cote.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn McFarlane (Shea); his children, Colin (Eileen) of Ottawa, Michael (Sonja) of Miramichi and Barbara (Marty) of Miramichi; his grandchildren, Kayley, Michaela, Catherine, Brennan and Spenser; his siblings, Margaret Ann (Leo), Bernadette, Mary Lee, David (Loraine), John (Laurie), Frankee (Rose) and Byron (Leah); his brothers-in-law, Vernon Shea (Sharon) and Jack Savage; his caregivers, Dr. Gandham, Dr. Harb (Moncton) and Dr. Watts; and his pet Benji.
He leaves behind his 16 year old dog Benji, and therefore requests that donations would be made to the Miramichi SPCA in his memory.
