He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne MacDonald and Molly Hancock (Vic Matchett). He is survived by: his wife Estelle Hayes of Brown Road; his daughters, Tara Sonier (Kevin) of Tracadie and Megan Hayes Hancock (Justin Russell) of Miramichi; his brother Robert Hancock of Toronto; and his grandchildren, Luther, Willow, Zuri, Colin and Aby.
