He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Sherrard and Margaret Sherrard (Dawson); his children, Joan Marie and Allan; his grandson Trent; and his siblings, Norma, Audrey, Shirley, Tommy and Allan.

He is survived by: his wife Muriel Sherrard (Coffin) of Miramichi; his children, Wanda Lee Maillet (Rick) of Miramichi, David Sherrard (Irma) of Miramichi, Norman Sherrard of Miramichi, Donald Sherrard of Miramichi, Todd Sherrard of Miramichi and Sterling Sherrard (Anna Leigh); and his sister Judy Crosse (Mike) of Miramichi. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
