He was predeceased by: his parents, Alexander McKinnon and Kathleen McKinnon (DeWolfe); and his siblings, Mary Paradis (Bert), Betty McKinnon, Gwen Galley (Weldon), Cleo McKinnon (Rose), Ralph McKinnon (Colleen) and Bernie McKinnon.

He is survived by: his wife Joan McKinnon (Roy); his children, Sandy McKinnon (Brenda) of Upper Kingsclear, NB, Paul McKinnon of Tsawwassen, BC., Kathy McKinnon of Miramichi, NB, Paula Richard (Bobby) of Saint John, NB and Betty-Ann McVeigh (Frank) of Oakville, ON.; his siblings, Connie Tornsgard (Bert) of Montreal, QC and Frank McKinnon (Margaret) of Hamilton, ON; his grandchildren, Madeline McVeigh and Pierre D'Entremont (Kara); and his great grandchild Emily D'Entremont. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
