He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Johnston and Connie Johnston (Bowie); and his wife Sheila Thibodeau of Miramichi. He is survived by: his son Melvin Thibodeau of British Colombia; his stepchildren, Ricky Thibodeau (Audrey) of Rexton and Susan Bourque (Maurice) of Miramichi; his siblings, Blake Johnston of Miramichi, Ian Johnston of Miramichi, Isabel Carroll (Danny) of Miramichi, Cathy DeLong (Walter) of Miramichi and Ruth MacDonald (Wade) of Miramichi; his grandchildren, Jocelyn, Joseph and Zachary; and his great grandchildren, Taleah and Everly.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #3 (18 McCurdy St, Miramichi, NB E1N2S4).
