He was predeceased by: his parents, James Matheson and Marguerite Matheson; his wife Barbara; his sister Helen; his siblings-in-law, Ed Perkins, Bill Hogan and Pauline Mullin; and his niece Heather Hogan.
He is survived by: his family, Jennifer (Ed), Tanya and Colin (Stephanie); his brother James (Joyce); his siblings-in-law, Norine Hogan and Bernard Mullin of Miramichi; and his grandchildren, Aiden, Austen, James, Michael and Emily.
