With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Arden Leo Burtt (Miramichi, New Brunswick), born in Zealand, New Brunswick, who passed away on December 16, 2021. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Arden Leo Burtt to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his wife Marion Burtt; his parents, Darrel Burtt and Aldah Burtt (Wilson); his brother Alton; and his brothers-in-law, Douglas Ritchie and Richard Chisholm.

He is survived by: his children, Shelley Burtt of Exmoor, NB, Sherry Burtt of Boom Road, NB, Kevin Burtt of Mississauga, ON and Kenny Burtt of Mississauga, ON; and his sisters, Sharron Burtt of Fredericton, NB and Shelia Ritchie of Ontario. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

As expressions of sympathy, in Arden's memory, donations can be made to Royal Canadian Legion Branch #90 or the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation.

“Arden was not merely the father of one of my most special friends but a much admired and delightful personal friend who was deeply devoted to wife and sons and daughters. Arden had an insatiable hunger for knowledge, an extremely clever sense of humor. and before stricken with severe arthritis a woodsman who lead this delighted Southern American through thick woodlands. He was a master at cribbage, and did his best to remain independent . I miss him already. One of a kind! RIP My Friend! . .”
