He was predeceased by: his mother Georgina Layton (O'Neil). He is survived by: his father James "Jim" Layton; his daughter Layn Layton; and his siblings, Ann Marie Layton of Acadiaville, NB, Theresa Layton of Miramichi, NB, Anthony Layton (Pam) of Nelson-Miramichi, NB, Patrick Layton of Edmonton, AB, James Layton Jr. of Moncton, NB and Richard Layton of Moncton, NB. He is also survived by nieces, and nephews.
