He was predeceased by: his parents, Angus Legere and Genevieve Legere (Richard) of Minto; his former wife Jacqueline; his wife Mary Johnson Legere; and his brother Emery Legere.

He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Ann Legere (Laurie) of Fredericton, Lena Gallant (Rheal) of New Maryland, Anita Beauchamp (late Andre) of Montreal, Rita MacDonald (Terry) of Fredericton, Gerry Legere (Diane) of Bathurst and Leo Legere (late Francoise) of Montreal; his stepchildren, Danny Clarke (Darlene), Randy Clarke, Scott Johnson (Margaret), Ann Borrebach (Al), Heather Crawford (Howard), Kim Godin (Todd) and Dawn Johnson; and his son Edgar. He is also survived by several step grandchildren and great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
