She is survived by: her parents, Clarence Cassista and Noella Cassista of Grand Falls, N. B; her husband Will Hicks; her children, Chantal Michaud (Pascal) and Steve Michaud (Alex); her stepchildren, Shannon Miner (Nathan) and Ryan Hicks; her grandchildren, Bradley, Brielle, Neela, Brynn and Bridgett; her siblings-in-law, Wendell Hicks, Wayne Hicks (Trudy), Wade Hicks (Kim) and Wendy Hicks; and her cousin Anne Diamond. She is also survived by extended family in Rhode Island and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Monique may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the charity of one's choice.
