She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Melanson and Marie Melanson (Bourque); her husband Gerald (Gerry); and her siblings, Louise, Irene, Rita, Eugene, Edgar, Walter, Leo-Paul and Henri.

She is survived by: her children, Charline Dupuis (Bobby), Jean-Charles (late Louise), Lavoie (Ginette Arsenault) and Mario Lavoie (Helene Richard) of Dieppe; her grandchildren, Ghislain, Karine, Kristine, Vanessa and Renelle; her great grandchildren, Finn, Kaprie, Mia, Charlie and Niko; and her sister-in-law Nora-May of Rimouski. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as many extended family members and friends.
