He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Leger and Sheila Leger (Tower). He is survived by: his wife Diane; his children, Victoria (Dane) of Irishtown, Johnny (Karin) of Inukjuak, PQ and Steven of Moncton; his grandchildren, Katherine and True; and his siblings, Diane (Skip) of Memramcook, Patricia of LaMontain, Mike, Paul (late Doug) of Memramcook and Jean-Marc (Stephanie) of Toronto. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Canada Society in his honour or to the Handi-Bus fund.
