She was predeceased by: her son Anthony Forbes (Tony); and her parents, Charles Paul and Nancy Paul. She is survived by: her husband Roy Bears; and her siblings, Wanda Paul (Stewart Donovan), Sheila Wilcox (Paul), Juanita Paul, Charles Paul and Nelson Solomon. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a celebration of life will be delayed until August 2020.
