He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Swan and Inez Swan. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Swan; his children, Larry (Sharon), Judy (Howard), Susan (Larry), Sharon (Jimmy), Lisa (Ross) and Debbie (John); his grandchildren, Michael (Sherry), Duane (Kim), Steven (Stacy), Darren (Lisa), Tanya (Blair), Robin (Kerry), Chris (Lana), Jason (Karly), Julie (Justin), Courtney (Jacob) and Jeremey (Emily); and his siblings, Leroy (Shirley), Annie, Beryl (Wayne), Charlotte, Aldana (Tommy) and Betty. He is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
