He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Pretorius and Cecilia Pretorius; his stepfather William Goodchild; his brother Cecil Combrinck; his siblings-in-law, Harold, Bramwell England, Alan Meyer, Florence Bennett, Pansy Noseworthy, Shirley Parsons Snook and Daphne Combrinck; and also, Annie, William England and Jean Meyer.
He is survived by: his wife Jean; his children, Jeanette Pretorius (Jeffrey Jodoin) and David Pretorius (Joanne); his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ryan Jodoin, Amy and Ian Pretorius; and his siblings, Andrew Pretorius (Valerie) and Constance Combrinck. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many special friends.
Due to circumstances related to the Covid-19 pandemic there will be no funeral service or family reception.
