With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Hilda Leota (Hayes) Nickerson (McAdam, New Brunswick), born in Weymouth, Nova Scotia, who passed away on April 18, 2020 at the age of 99. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles and Jenny Hayes (Weaver); her husband Victor; her children, Victor, Ester Nickerson and Nancy McLaggan; her grandsons, Jeffery Nickerson and Carl McLaggan; her great grandchild Andrew Bartlett; and her siblings, David, Helen, Edith, Viola and Jennie.
She is survived by: her children, Hazel Gass (Paul) of McAdam, NB, Earle Nickerson (Heather) of Portage Vale, NB and Herbert Nickerson (Ruth) of New Salem, NS.; her grandchildren, Shelley Porelle (Gilles), Cindy Bartlett (Peter), Brenda Moffitt (Kimberly), Karen Oliver (Geoff), Karla Huckvale (Glen), Roy McLaggan (Rose), Cory McLaggan (Trudy), April Hawkins (Chris), Darrel Nickerson (Karen), Kevin Nickerson (Tara), Jennifer Floyd (Jill), James Nickerson (Sabrina), Victor Nickerson and Roger Nickerson; and her siblings, Mike Hayes, Ross Hayes (Alma), Dorothy Robeson, Constance Blinn, Ruth Smith (Bob) and Marion Fowler. She is also survived by several great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren.
