She was predeceased by: her parents, John MacFarlane (Jack) and Mary Evelyn MacFarlane (Bruce); her brother Dan MacFarlane; and her brothers-in-law, George Novak, Brian Thornton and Donald Thornton.
She is survived by: her husband David Thornton; her children, Amy Whittaker (Kirk) of Prince William, NB and Richard Thornton; her grandsons, Matthew Burgoyne of Victoria, BC and Thomas Whittaker of Prince William, NB; her siblings, Marjorie Novak of Dominican Republic, Stephen MacFarlane of Ontario and Robert MacFarlane (Geri) of Ontario; and her sisters-in-law, Lynn MacFarlane, Alberta, Judy Thornton of Waterville, NB and Mary Thornton of Fredericton, NB. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
