It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laverne Elaine Doak of Maugerville, New Brunswick, who passed away on April 22, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Laverne Elaine departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Laverne Elaine may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Laverne Elaine leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Charles and Constance Clara Shields (Ladd); and her sisters, Josephine McCann, Phyllis Riley, Mary Brewster, Theresa Thomas and Clara Lenetine.
She is survived by: her husband David "Dick" Doak; her children, Rickey David Doak (Eileen Collett) and Tina Marie (George Nicholas Goutakolis); and her grandchildren, Charles Francois Doak (Erica), Rikki Martina Doak and Niko David Goutakolis.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Maugerville Community Centre (439 NB-105, Maugerville, NB E3A8N5).
