He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Alexander and Elizabeth Anne Alexander (Redstone); his son Jonathan; and his siblings, Anne Carver (Bill) and Frances Hill (Ken).

He is survived by: his wife Darlene Alexander (Barker); his son Bartholomew Alexander (Kui Wu); his grandchildren, Lochlainn and Éibhleann; his son Troy Alexander; his grandchildren, Sol and Roman; and his siblings, Edward Alexander (Joan) of Winnipeg and Hazel Alexander of Saint John, NB. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
