He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Palmer and Cynthia Palmer (Briggs); his son-in-law Malcolm Stairs; his siblings, Reta Morehouse, John, Reginald, Joseph and Frank; and his siblings-in-law, Gordon Carpenter, Max Morehouse, Clayton Morehouse, Stanley Sarchfield, Dorothy, Connie and Adeline.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Palmer (Lindsay); his children, Barbara Stairs, Carter (Kelly), Roger, Dana, Charlene Denny (Mark), Robin (Karen), Ricky and Sonya Kaake (Dave); his siblings, Annie Carpenter, Inez Sarchfield, George, Norman (Carole), Haldean (Kerry), Gary (Debbie) and Larry (Elaine); his sisters-in-law, Patricia, Sandra and Darlene; and his grandsons, Matthew Stairs, Adam Stairs, Jackson Denny, Brandon Pickle, Ryan Pickle and David Palmer. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 21st 2024 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Flewelling Funeral Home (585 Otis Dr, Nackawic, NB E6G1H6). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 22nd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Maple Ridge Wesleyan Church (1125 NB-605, Maple Ridge, NB E6E1W5).
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in Weldon's memory to the Hawkins Corner Cemetery or the Maple Ridge Wesleyan Church (designated for the Bereans).
