She was predeceased by: her parents, Hazen Thornton and Pearl Thornton (Barrow); her husband Gerald Blaney; her son Dale Gilbert; and her siblings, Alma Schriver (late Angus) and Arnold Thornton (late Joyce).

She is survived by: her children, Theresa Blaney of Maple Ridge, NB, Audrey Reid (Clifton) and Kevin Blaney; her grandchildren, Chris (Bonnie), Sebastian (Crystal), Michelle (John), Alex and Brooke; her great grandchild Kabrayrah-Rose; her sister-in-law Joanne Blaney; and her cousin Kathleen Wallace. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
