He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph LaPointe and Eva LaPointe (Hickey); his wife Albina; his sons, Alvin, Camille, Rheal and Etienne; his daughters-in-law, Theresa and Linda; and his siblings, Eleonore, Evangeline, Blanche, Arthur, Zoel, Angus and Emelie.
He is survived by: his children, Roland (Rosita), Pierrette (Charles), Rolande (James), Ovila (Emilie), Blanche (Reginald), Patrick, Marcel, Noella (Gilbert), Hermel, Colette (Guy) and Nicole (Claude); his daughter-in-law Alfreda; and his siblings, Clarence, Celestin and Adelaine. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren 12 great great grandchildren.
