He was predeceased by: his parents, George Buchanan and Beatrice Buchanan (Brewer); and his siblings, Raymond Buchanan, Heather Golding and Patricia Buchanan.

He is survived by: his sisters, Tracey Muxworthy (Brent) of Waasis, Bonny Maranda (Joe) of Minto and Janette Lord of St. George, NB. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
