He was predeceased by: his parents, Emery Smith and Sylvia Smith (Crain); and his sister Donna Prosser (Laurie) of Nackawic, NB. He is survived by: his wife Anne Smith (Genyk); his children, Roseanne Sylvia Smith of Kilburn, NB, John Smith of Kilburn, NB and Jim Smith (Jaana) of Muniac, NB; his grandchildren, Ryan and Jordan Smith; and his great grandchild Kayden.
