She was predeceased by: her parents, Elroy Chesley MacDonald and Jessie MacDonald (McDow); her husband Harold Carey; her siblings, Elroy (Claire), Douglas (Audrey), Isabel (Roy), Della (Keith) and Gloria; her brothers-in-law, Harold Gill and Earl Carey (Gladys); and her close friend Ted Simpson.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Jonah (Lee) of Dawson, Vaughn Carey (Lynda) of Riverview and Sue Welling (Scott) of Riverview; her grandchildren, Jesse (Sinclaire), Matthew, Jonathan (Yannick) and Adam (Emma); her sister Carol Gill of Halifax; and her brother-in-law Gerald Hall of St. Catherines, ON.. She is also survived by several nieces and, nephews.
