She was predeceased by: her father Wyman VanWesterneng; her brother Billy VanWesterneng; her brother-in-law David Sentner; and her parents-in-law, Fred and Alice Furness.

She is survived by: her mother Liona VanWesterneng (Smith); her husband Doug Furness of Hillsborough; her children, Matthew Furness of Hillsborough and Alyson Furness of Hillsborough; her siblings, Sandra VanWesterneng (Ted Crighton), Vickie Sentner (Marvyn Parkman) and Erwin VanWesterneng (Linda); and her siblings-in-law, Collen VanWesterneng, Shirley Wilson (Carl), Margaret MacLeod (David), Marlene MacRae (Jeff), Arthur Furness (Sheila) and Milton Furness. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and by many good friends.
