He was predeceased by: his father Jack Carter. He is survived by: his mother Verna Carter (Colborne) of Riverview; his siblings, Joyce Tingley (Dale) of Hopewell Cape and Greg Carter (Ina Lynn) of Lower Cape; and his nieces and nephews, Erin (Craig), Jeffrey (Ashley), Christine (Perry) and Jacquelynn. He is also survived by several great niece, great nephews, aunts, and, cousins.
