She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd and Maude (Thorne); her husband Roy; and her brothers, Lester, Harold, Ronald and Royden Carson.
She is survived by: her children, Diane Bannister (Gordon), Janet Taylor (Walter), Catherine Kelly (Carl), Alanna Lounsbury (Douglas), Graham Cosman (Kelly), Shelley Thorne (Philip) and Lori Perry (Kevin); her sister Joy Keating (Albert); and her sisters-in-law, Ernestine Delong and Darlene Carson. She is also survived by her 17 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
