He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Phillips and Catherine Phillips (Morris); his wife Eileen Phillips (Barrieau); his stepmother Daisy Phillips (Bulmar); his siblings, Constance MacDougall, Anne Lawson, Elizabeth Todd, Shirley Northrup and Patrick Phillips; and his brother-in-law Edmond Barrieau.
He is survived by: his pet Timber; his daughter Helen Abbey; his grandchildren, Julian, Bronwyn, Elijah and Tammy Coburn (Ross); his great grandchildren, Bradley and Alex; his siblings, Lorna Morrell, Douglas Phillips (Eleanor) and Paul Phillips (Dolla); his siblings-in-law, Barbara Barrieau and Edgar Barrieau (Dorothy); and his close friend Theresa Breen. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
