She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Messer and Ada Messer (McCullough); her husband Eugene W. McFadyen; her brother Phillip Messer (late Vella); and her daughter-in-law Pam McFadgen.

She is survived by: her children, Wayne McFadgen (Teresa), Kent McFadyen (Heather), Connie Cleghorn (Dean), John McFadyen (Jessie) and Rick McFadyen (Carol-Joy); her grandchildren, Josh McFadgen (Amy), Mitch McFadgen (Jen), Matthew McFadyen (Jordyn), Nick McFadyen, Mark Cleghorn, Shannon Waddell (Dave), Aaron McFadyen (Julie) and Alisha Eby (Blaise); her great grandchildren, Emma, Ava, Emily, Angelina, Mason, Charlotte, Ellie and Ryla; and her brother Ronnie Messer (Sharon). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
