He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Mathias and Rita Mathias; and his siblings, Maryln Mathias and Vaughn. He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Mathias of Hartland; his children, Sean Mathias of Hartland and Kelcy Kuhn (Kent) of Hartland; his granddaughters, Samantha Kuhn (Jenny Miller), Tory Kuhn and Stephanie Roach; his great grandchild Myles Kuhn; and his sister-in-law Marilyn Mathias. He is also survived by nieces and, nephews.
